What is Derstar?

A decentralized options exchange on Arbitrum One. You will trade BTC and ETH options straight from your wallet, with every trade settled on-chain.

What do I get for joining the whitelist?

First access to the Derstar testnet on Arbitrum Sepolia, before it opens to everyone. Mainnet perks: soon.

When does the testnet go live?

Soon. We will announce the date on our official channels first, and whitelisted wallets get in before anyone else.

Does joining cost anything?

No. You only submit an address: no transaction, no gas, no wallet connection. The testnet runs on test tokens, so you will not need real money there either.

Is it safe to share my address?

A wallet address is already public, and it is the only thing we store. Joining never asks for a signature or a transaction. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and we will never DM you first.

Which address should I use?

Any wallet you control that works on Arbitrum, such as MetaMask or Rabby. Do not use an exchange deposit address. Testnet access is tied to the address you submit.

How do I know I’m on the list?

You will see a confirmation right after you submit. If you submit the same address again, the form tells you it is already on the list.

Is there a token or an airdrop?

No token has been announced. Any news will come only from official Derstar channels. Ignore DMs offering a Derstar token, a presale or a paid whitelist spot: they are scams.

What will I be able to trade?

BTC and ETH options with weekly expiries, settled every Friday at 08:00 UTC. Options are cash-settled and paid for in USDC. As a buyer, the most you can lose is the premium you paid.
